Volunteering as a Friend is an opportunity to help preserve its natural and cultural heritage for future generations. Friends are Park Ambassadors. As team members, Friends assist and provide services that would not otherwise be accomplished. Friends find opportunities for educational experiences and ongoing contributions. The objective of volunteer service is to expand the Park's ability to provide our visitors with quality services, professionalism, support and stewardship without increasing costs that would be passed on to users and taxpayers. Friends meetings are scheduled on a quarterly basis at the Park. All funds generated by the Friends remain 100% in Edgar Evins State Park. Needs are assessed and members determine which projects to undertake. We hold various monthly activities and group projects. We solicit help from other like minded groups and individuals. We work with organizations such as the Tennessee Trails Association, Theta Tau Engineering Fraternity at TTU, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts Troops, etc. If your group or organization is looking for a community service project, contact us. We always need people to help us in our efforts.
